INDEPENDENCE DAY 2026
Garden High School celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The staff and pupils gathered early in the morning to honour the historic day.
The event commenced at 8.30 a.m. with the hoisting of the national flag by Mrs Nivedita Ghosh Bej. Following the flag hoisting, the pupils presented a thoughtful and inspiring programme centred on how we can be responsible citizens in a free country.
The choir presented a heart-warming medley of patriotic songs followed by recitation of poems on how true freedom comes with personal accountability.
In traditional tricolour attire, pupils also performed vibrant dance routines, capturing the joy of living in a free nation while embodying unity in diversity. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
