A DAY IN DISNEYLAND
The Junior School organised a Disney-themed Art and Craft exhibition, called ‘A Day in Disneyland’, to culminate the year-long silver jubilee celebrations of Garden High School. A variety of craft items made by the children of all classes, starting from Pre-Nursery to Class II, were displayed. They were based on various Disney motifs, themes and iconic Disney characters and stories. Each child’s craft item was on display.
Special attractions included the Disney Parade and Disney Showtime. Dressed as beloved Disney characters, the famous Disneyland parade was replicated by the toddlers of Nursery I, Nursery II and Preparatory. The audience clapped and cheered loudly as the little ones walked merrily to popular Disney tunes.
Disney Showtime was all about music and dance. Dressed in vibrant costumes, the children of Preparatory, Class I and Class II, performed to popular Disney songs. The choir took the audience on a magical journey through the world of Disney, featuring songs like ‘Un Poco Loco’, ‘Under the Sea’, ‘I Just Can’t Wait to Be King’ and ‘Try Everything’, leaving the audience spellbound.
The children of the Preparatory class presented a lively dance performance to the song ‘Zoo’ from ‘Zootopia’. The young performers of Class I brought the magical underwater world of ‘The Little Mermaid’ alive by dancing to the song ‘Under the Sea’. The show concluded with a lively hula dance by Class II, inspired by ‘Moana’. The young dancers impressed the audience with their rhythmic steps and synchronised hula movements.
The diligence and enthusiasm of the children, as well as their teachers, made the event a truly memorable experience for everyone.
