BAGLESS DAYS

Day 1 – Students of Class III went on an educational city tour in the school bus, viewing landmarks such as Science City, Rabindra Sadan, Victoria Memorial, the Maidan, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Birla Planetarium, the James Prinsep Monument, Raj Bhavan, Eden Gardens, and the Indian Museum. Teachers introduced the historical and cultural significance of these places during the journey.
Students of Class IV participated in a no-fire cooking activity, preparing sandwiches and papdi chaat while wearing handmade chef hats, aprons, and disposable gloves. They also created posters on healthy eating habits.
A talent hunt was organised in which students presented performances of up to three minutes, including singing, dance, elocution, short dramatic acts, drawing demonstrations, martial arts demonstrations, and other creative skills.
Day 2 – Students of Class III prepared burgers using ingredients brought from home while wearing DIY chef hats, aprons, and disposable gloves. They made posters listing the ingredients used.
Science demonstrations were conducted on magnetism, the human digestive system, absorption of water by plants, and how aquatic plants breathe.
Students of Class IV presented illustrated book reviews of books they had read, including works by authors such as Roald Dahl and J. K. Rowling. They also enacted the roles of historical personalities such as Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, Leonardo da Vinci, and Helen Keller.
During this two-day programme the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves while gaining new knowledge and experiences.
