Workshop on Drones
MALAYSIA UAV DRONE ACTIVIST SOCIETY (MUDAS), in collaboration with HEE Tech Academy (Malaysia), conducted a half-day basic drone piloting training programme within the school premises on 13 September 2025. Registered pupils of classes V and VI were in attendance. The programme included the following presentation and activities:
•Basics of drone aerodynamics and technology
•Participants assembling and flying their own drones
•Real-time flight simulation and outdoor piloting
•Real-world applications, safety and drone laws
The session began with a PowerPoint presentation from which the pupils gathered information on how a drone works, how much distance it can cover, types of movements it makes etc. The children were then given a detailed demonstration of a drone’s movements. In the second half of the session the pupils were divided into groups and taught how to control the movement of the drone using a laptop. They assembled the parts of the drone and then learnt how to operate it.
The session was a great learning experience as well as entertaining for the young pupils.
