Chhotoder Baithakkhana
Garden High School participated with great enthusiasm in the third edition of ‘Baithakkhana’, an annual Bengali Literary Festival, held at the Kolkata Centre for Creativity on 17 April 2026. The programme featured a debate on the motion ‘Matribhashai Shobcheye Joruri Bhasha’ (Mother Tongue is the most important language). The jury panel comprised Ms. Sanchari Mookherjee (Curator, KCC Baithakkhana) and Mr. Indranil Sanyal, noted author.
The Garden High School team received high praise from the judges for their brilliance, depth of research, command over the Bengali language and eloquent delivery. The team secured the maximum points in the debate session. Tanirika Bhattacharjee (X C), Jyotishko Sen (XII A), Swastick Bandyopadhyay (XII A) and Ritabrata Bandyopadhyay (X C) were specially commended for their excellent delivery.
