Inter-School Debate & Elocution

Salt Lake School conducted ‘Inference’ an inter-school debate competition and ‘Circle of Demosthenes’, an inter-school elocution competition on 6 November 2025.

Shreya Saha (VIII A) of Garden High School won the 1st prize in the elocution competition for her excellent oratory skills. She was awarded a trophy, a medal and a certificate of merit. Kushagra Mandal (VIII C) earned a special mention from the judges for his praiseworthy delivery.

The motion for the debate competition was ‘Indians have failed to capitalize on their culture and heritage.’ The two teams from Garden High School comprised Swastick Bandyopadhyay (XI A) and Aditya Dhiran (XI C), and Sohan Saha (IX E) and Ritabrata Bandyopadhyay (IX C) respectively. The speakers were highly appreciated for their convincing arguments and confidence.
