Masterclass on ‘Genes, vaccines and innovation: A world of Biotech Careers’ by Professor Vivek Tanavde (Ahmedabad University)

On 19 September 2025 a session was conducted by Professor Vivek Tanavde (Associate Professor, Associate Dean, School of Arts and Sciences – Ahmedabad University) for the pupils of Class X of Garden High School. His presentation explored how gene sequencing, genome editing tools and revolutionary vaccine technologies are unlocking new possibilities in medicine, agriculture and providing eco-friendly solutions. Emerging careers in science, technology and entrepreneurship were also discussed. It was an insightful and inspiring session for the pupils.
