Psycon 2026

The School Counsellor, Ms Debjani Mukherjee, Special Educator, Ms Madhumita Dasgupta and Teacher Parent, Ms. Rumpa Paul, from Garden High School attended PSYCON 2026, a conference on Understanding Challenges in Learning During Adolescence, held on 11 September 2026 at Manovikas Kendra, Kolkata.

The conference brought together mental health professionals and educators to discuss the emotional, psychological and social challenges faced by adolescents. The sessions highlighted the importance of early identification of emotional distress, suicide prevention, addressing bullying and the impact of social media and fostering supportive and inclusive school environments.

The discussions emphasised the need for empathy, timely intervention and collaboration among teachers, parents, counsellors and mental health professionals to promote adolescent wellbeing and resilience. The conference provided valuable insights into strengthening the school’s approach to student welfare and inclusive education.
