SAIoC Inter-school Competition 2025

Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture hosted their annual SAIoC Inter-school Competition on 23 July 2025. Garden High School participated in two categories of events – Elocution in English and Bengali and Declamation in English, Bengali and Hindi.

Participants from Classes VII to IX were categorised as ‘Group A’ while ‘Group B’ included participants from Classes X to XII. For elocution, the contestants had to recite any one of the poems composed by Sri Aurobindo Ghosh, that the host school had shared with all the participating schools. For declamation, the participants had to deliver a short speech based on the topic ‘The ideas of sovereignty and self-determination in the eyes of Sri Aurobindo’.

Around twenty schools participated in the event. Aishani Shome (IX B) won the 1st prize in Bengali Elocution (Group A). The 1st prize in Bengali Elocution (Group B) also went to Garden High School. The contestant was Titas Sengupta (XII D). Abhideep Roy (XI A) secured the 2nd position in English Elocution (Group B).

In Declamation, Soumily Chaudhuri (XI A) won the 1st prize in Bengali and Ayush Bhattacharya (X E) secured the 2nd position in Hindi.
