The Counsellors’ Conclave

The Heritage School organized The Counsellors’ Conclave on 11 April 2026, bringing together educators, counsellors and mental health professionals from across Kolkata.

Chief guest Dr. Rudrangshu Mukherjee, Chancellor of Ashoka University, emphasized the role of educators in helping students manage pressure and develop as responsible individuals. The session also focused on strengthening school mental health frameworks, promoting empathy and adopting a holistic approach to child development with the help of literature and liberal arts.

Dr. Susmita Chattopadhyay (Gynaecologist) highlighted the need to normalize mental health conversations, while Ms. Lipica Bhattacharya (Special Educator) discussed strategies for supporting children with neurodevelopmental disorders and advocated inclusive, flexible teaching practices.
