Van Mahotxav 2026: Small Steps Towards a Greener Home

Selected pupils from Classes III to V participated in Van Mahotxav 2026: Small Steps Towards a Greener Home, hosted by St. Xavier’s Collegiate School on 8 and 9 July 2026. The two-day inter-school event brought together 17 schools and featured six engaging on-stage and off-stage competitions cenetred on environmental awareness.

The theme encouraged children to adopt simple, mindful actions that collectively help protect forests and build a sustainable future. Garden High students delivered commendable performances, with Arindam Nag (IV F), securing 2nd place in ‘Picture Our Planet’ (Photo Frame Making). The school’s quiz team – Debashmeet Saha (V E) and Aranyak Singha Roy (IV C) also won 2nd place in the nature-themed quiz.

The event provided students with a meaningful platform to showcase their creativity, environmental awareness and collaborative spirit while inspiring them to become responsible caretakers of the planet.
