West Bengal Debating Championship 2022

The Calcutta Debating Circle in collaboration with Aakash Byju’s organized the West Bengal Debating Championship. 42 schools from all over West Bengal participated in the preliminary rounds which was held on 23 November 2022. Among them 10 schools qualified for the finals. The team from Garden High School comprising Sheersha Banerjee 11A and Neel Sinha 11A topped the preliminary round. The motion was ‘Brain Drain is desirable.’ The final round, chaired by Mr Raju Raman and Dr Sandip Chatterjee, was held at Rotary Sadan on 30 November 2022. The motion was ‘Schools are for scoring marks, not for building character.’ Garden High School won the title of State Champion. Dr Kunal Sarkar handed them the trophy.
