Soumee Bhaumik , VIII B (2019 – 20)
Her thoughts are like lanterns-
They illumine her mind.
Skin- darker than the rest,
Carrying the sun everywhere she goes.
Hair- thick and long,
Glistening as she moves gracefully under the sun.
Delicate hands- bruised,
Showing her strength and how obstacles don’t bother her.
Gentle smile- a façade,
She won’t let you understand her pain.
Eyes- like burning coals,
Wanting to prove herself, thirsting for revenge.
She cries but that does not make her weak,
She breaks but she doesn’t get destroyed;
She is not perfect but she is all you ever wanted.
Thoughts- like lanterns,
Which illumine the world.
