Why?

Why?

Aishi Baksi, VII C (2019-20)

We have it all
But they have none;
Their mouths watering
For the richer fun.

They are just children
And so are we,
Then why is it is
With all the glee?

A life so more miserable
Than we could ever imagine,
A heart so torn
It makes the bolder margin.

If tears could fly
That’s would be floods of sadness,
Though no one would care
To dry the then madness.

The Greatest send us here
With equality;
Then why are humans
Often the destroyer of blissful reality?

The beauty of a lost smile
That reveals with a chocolate
The smallest things, meaning nothing to us,
To them, it means a thousand.
