Sanchari Malkhandi, of Class IX C won the Doubles Runner- Up Trophy in the Girls Doubles Under 18 All India Tennis Association Championship Series held in Calcutta International Club, Kolkata, during the week starting 19 May 2025.

An Inter-School quiz competition was organised by Lake Club on 15 May 2025 on the occasion of the 50th All India Invitation Inter-School Regatta 2025. Twenty-five schools across the city took part in it. Thirty-six teams participated in the competition. After the preliminary round 6 teams qualified for the finals. Both the teams of Garden High School were a part of the final round. The quiz masters were Mr. Ishan Ganguly and Mr. Arnab Bandyopadhyay.
Ishan Pahari of IX D and Ritabrata Bandyopadhyay of IX C of Garden High School (Team 2) were the second runners up.

The Investiture Ceremony 2025-26 successfully inducted the Office Bearers of the School’s Prefectorial Board. Our Principal Mrs Rajashri Biswas handed over the flags to the Head Boy, Head Girl and the Captains of the Houses. The Office Bearers took the oath pledging to serve their Alma Mater with utmost sincerity and to the best of their ability. Our Pro-Rector Mrs Kavita Guha and the Principal congratulated the newly elected office bearers and emphasized the significance of being effective leaders and team players. They were reminded that they are the torchbearers of all the values upheld by the school and were urged to discharge their responsibilities with the utmost commitment and unwavering integrity.

A career counselling session was conducted by Ms Priyanka Kumari, faculty of Pearl Academy, Bengaluru, for the pupils of Classes XI and XII. The resource person spoke on the topic ‘Entrepreneurship and Start-ups’. Group activities were conducted and students, divided into teams, shared their unique start-up ideas. The session was both engaging and enriching for the pupils.

West Bengal Badminton Association organised the 87th West Bengal Senior State Badminton Championship in Kolkata from 1 May to 6 May 2025. Shirin Chakraborty (XII D) of Garden High School participated in the Women’s Doubles event and secured the 3rd place. She was awarded the bronze medal.

Don Bosco School organised ‘Bosco Stratagem’ (IPL Auction) as part of their Inter-School Business Festival ‘Bosco Empresarios’ on 28 April 2025. Nine renowned schools of Kolkata participated in this event which consisted of four rounds.
The team representing Garden High School bagged the 1st Runner up award. The participants were Arghyadeep Chanda (XII C) and Pulkit Mehrotra (X B). It was a great learning experience for the pupils.

Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Development (iLEAD) in collaboration with The American Consulate, Kolkata, organised the Jefferson Junior Debates 2025 – an inter-school debate competition for pupils of classes of IX to XII. Fourteen renowned schools of Kolkata participated in the event.
The debating session comprised two intense rounds. The team from Garden High School bagged the 1st runner up award. The participants were Anusha Chowdhury (XII A), Sk. Sussan Rahaman (XII D) and Arshia Datta (X C).

Alumni of Garden High School.
The Silver Jubilee Celebration of Garden High School was flagged off with a free medical check-up for the dedicated support staff of the school and their family members. The planning and execution of this event were done by the alumni of Garden High, many of whom have now become qualified doctors and healthcare professionals. The medical team comprised Dr Adrija Debnath, Dr Dyotak Chandra, Dr Mehuli Kar, Dr. Rishab Bairagi and Chandreyee Kumar (a third year MBBS student). Alumni volunteers assisted in the seamless organization and management of the event ensuring its smooth operation throughout the day.
The camp included general health screening and consultation, eye check-up, dental-check up and distribution of health kits.
Over sixty-five support staff members benefitted from this camp. This thoughtful gesture of our ex-students was immensely appreciated as they set a fine example of community service.

School Chameleons is an initiative by Global Chameleons aimed at creating a single platform where educators, principals, teachers, administrators, and students can share stories of their schools’ efforts toward achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through innovative actions and proactive ideas. They had organised an Inter-School Story Writing Competition for pupils of Class VIII in December 2024.
The results were announced in March 2025. The short story written by Ritabrata Banerjee (VIII-D) of Garden High School was highly appreciated. He has been awarded with a certificate of recognition for his dedication towards the cause.
