Happiness Around the Bend

Happiness Around the Bend

Aishichchha Dutta, VII A (2018 – 19)

If you are sad,
(To such an extent that may make you mad);
Please, Oh please, go out and enjoy
Nature and life to your heart’s content.

If you think you will fail,
Then cry out your feelings in a pail;
For there are many things to give you pleasure,
Like a little game of chess to play at leisure.

Tears and happiness go hand in hand,
‘Cause Earth’s just not a fairy land
Where there’s all joy and no pain,
Where life’s but a blissful den.

Tears come in and silently go,
In the form of joy and woe;
With the coming of a person
And with the departure of a blessed soul.

But there’s always hope to caress your mind
And tell you, not to worry, as you will surely find
Happiness around each and every bend
Of the road known as the journey of life.
